Do you love to see your own photograph? Yes, of course. We all love to. Whether it’s a birthday party, picnic, marriage ceremony etc. We just love to see photograph and enjoy it. Surely we will enjoy as they are our memories. So would you like to know how these photographs are developed?

How The Photographs Are Developed: -

  • When we click, we have frozen the moment in the time by recording the visible light reflected from the object in the camera’s field of view. The reflected light causes a chemical change to the photographic film inside the camera.
  • Normal film consists of a plastic base that is coated with the particle of Silver compound. When this compound is exposed to a large number of light photons, it forms silver atoms. Black and white film has one layer of silver compound while the colour film has three layers: -
    • Top layer is sensitive of blue light
    • Next layer is sensitive to green
    • Bottom layer is sensitive to red
  • when film is exposed, the sensitive grains at each layer react to light of that colour, creating chemical record of light and colour pattern. To turn this into picture, it is developed using more chemical. One chemical developer turns the exposed particles into metallic silver. Then it is treated with 3 different dye developers containing dye couplers.
  • These three dye colours are:-
    • Cyan (combination of green and blue)
    • Magenta (a combination of red and blue.)
    • Yellow (a combination of green and red.)
  • Each of the dye couplers type react with one of the colour layers in the film.
  • The images seen on the film is of different colour than of the film colour.
  • This image is passed through a light and the image is formed on the special paper.
  • This paper is immersed in a solution and the image appears. At last photo, is developed and it is of same colour like real object.
There are different types of electric torch like:
  • Cap light
  • Fluorescent light
  • Radio light
  • Emergency light
  • Penlight

 

 

Miracle Liquid: This is a colour changing experiment. Material: Water, food colouring, scissor, jar, a flower of light colour.

  • Fill cup with water.
  • Add few drop of food colour Cut the end of the stem and place the flower in the jar.
  • Leave it for few minutes.
  • The food colour is sucked by the long tiny tubes called vessel.
  • The colour of the petal changes.
  • So, isn’t it nice to see the colour change. Its really a miracle liquid.
 

Facts :-

Egyptians were first to use shoes. They used pads of leather of papyrus.
