Today I am having one question in my mind. I am giving so much of
knowledge to Chatur Chela. Today I’ll test his knowledge. Chatur Chela, COME HERE.
Chela:
WHAT HAPPENED?
Didi:
How am I looking in this saree?
Chela:
Nice didi. You are looking pretty.
Didi:
Thank you. I have a question for you. What do you know about the Indian culture?
Chela:
AA.......
Didi:
Shame on you. You can’t even speak a single word about it.
Chela:
Sorry Didi I Have never thought about it.
Didi:
Ok! Let it be. I’ll tell you. Do whatever I say.
Call Miss Khushi .i, Mr. Wise, Mr. Dideer, Mr. Bilion, Mr. Health Guru and
Master Roso.
Chela:
For what?
Chela:
Traditional party???
Didi:
Yes, traditional party.
Chela:
(Totally confused. Why does she organize such a party? And she hasn’t given me
the answer to the question. ) Didi, you haven’t give me the answer.
Didi:
I will tell you but first invite all of them for the party.
Chela goes to Khushi, Mr. Wise, Mr . Didieer, Mr. Bilion, Master Roso. And
invites all of them for the party. Chela comes back.
Didi:
Chela, you have to welcome all guests.
Chela:
Ok! I understood what to do.
Didi:
In our Indian culture, we treat all our guests as God that is why we
call ATITHI DEVO BHAVA.
Chela:
ATITHI DEVO BHAVA??
Didi:
Remember when you welcome all the guests, say NAMASTE
Chela:
Didi, I understood to welcome all the guests but what does
this Namaste mean?
Didi:
Namaste, we bow down our head in front of our
parents, elder, Namaskar tells we accept you.
Indian culture helps us to develop the
quality of acceptance.
Chela:
Ok! I got it. (Bows down to Didi.)
Didi:
After doing Namaste do the Tilak on their forehead.
Chela:
Tilak????
Didi:
Yes.
Chela:
But why Tilak??
Didi:
We do the tilak on our forehead i.e. in between the 2 eyebrows. We have our Gyan chakra in between
the eyebrows.
Chela:
What does this tilak mean?
Didi:
Tilak means that we think big. When we go to the temple and do the tilak on our forehead means we get
the blessing of thinking big.
Chela:
Oh! WOW, it’s really interesting to know this. But Didi, we have called all of them
for the party and the party is incomplete without the games.
Didi:
Chela, I know this and I have planned for it. I’ll tell you what we are
going to play and it’s on you to organize it.
Chela:
(Excitedly) Sure. Please, please tell me the names of the games.
Didi:
After we have welcomed all the guests we are going to play
the game, which will reflect the Indian culture.
Chela:
I don’t remember any of such games.
Didi:
The games, which we are going to play, is Deepak game, support
game, Bindya game, Chotti game.
Chela:
Wow! It sounds good.
Didi:
Now listen to me how are we going to start. When all the
guests are here, we start the game with the Deepak game.
Chela:
What we have to do in this game?
Didi:
We will keep 8 diyas and the elders will light them and the
one who light them first will be the winner.
Chela:
Why only elders?
Didi:
You know that in Indian culture we give importance to our
elders. When we start any work, we do it with the regards
of our elders. We respect and love our elders. So Mr. Wise
will play this game. This will help us to develop good relationship.
We Indians give importance to relationship. The
base of our culture is good relationship.
